In November 2017 one of our members kindly hosted us to provide funding to three organisations who have previously pitched at TFN London.
Year Here raised over £20,000 to hire a Director to reach more beneficiaries and amplify their impact.
The new staff member has developed work on driving social innovation in the housing sector, and mentored Year Here Fellows who have gone on to launch their own innovative social ventures.
The Fatherhood Institute raised over £20,000 towards funding their Fathers Reading Every Day (FRED) project for fathers who speak English as a second language.
The funding allowed 20 teachers to reach 168 children through FRED, where a stunning 97% of fathers reported that FRED has helped them to read to their child daily, improving reading confidence and bringing fathers and their children closer together.
Bags of Taste raised over £23,000 to fund three groups of cooking classes outside London, to teach healthy and fun cooking techniques to people struggling with high food costs.
Bags of Taste was able to teach healthy cooking habits to 180 people through their classes, improving cooking skills and raising self-confidence for new parents, disabled people, and people suffering from health conditions.
